Having travelled many kilometres for nearly 50 years,mostly in outback Australia, I was drawn to Jenny Greentree’s, ‘Oasis in the Desert’. It typifies for me the quintessential nexus of Australian landscape – water and earth or in this case water and desert/ the Australian dry and wet.
‘Oasis’ depicts, in true colours, the blue of the sky and the rust of the dune. The mirror image doubles the impact of sky, water, dune.
The fine capture of the fragile vegetation and wildlife add to this realistic representation of outback.
Jenny has captured this authentic scene which brings an emotional sense peace and tranquility. A tribute to the keen eye, love of the land and wonderful skills of the artist. Thank you Jenny!
