The beautiful shades of indigo, mauve and pink that calmly grace the eastern sky during a moonrise at dusk provoke calmness and peace as they reflect in still water over an outback lake.  Inspired by the rugged beauty and amazing scenes I experiences on a daily basis, I painted the ‘Moods and Colours of Bourke’ series between 2003 -2006.  ‘Quiet Waters’ is one of those 10 pastel artworks.
